The Denouement

Hey! I don't wanna act.

The gun was pointed straight at Nicah. She was sweating.
"I'm going to count to 10..." said the older man. "If you don't become a good girl and go to that room and stay there... I'm going to kill you!"
The old man started to reload the bullets. "S***... one last bullet... oh well... this is where I plan where it all ends up in"
Nicah sighed... "I guess this is it..." A tear rolled down her cheek.
"1..." said the older man. "2... 3.... are you sure?"
"Yes..." said Nicah determined. "I'm going home Lord..."
"1..." said the older man again. "2... 3... ellipsis... 10!"
Everything stopped for a milisecond. Joshua stood up and said,
"An ellipsis is in layman's terms, 'dot dot dot.' It is used when you want to skip many words, letters or numbers." Then he sat down on the ground and time replayed.
"10!" the villain squeezed the trigger. Jasper watched from the ground. Voluntarily, he stood, ran, pushed Nicah just in time, and hit the wall.The bullet hit him smack in the heart. The good thing was that he was wearing a bulletproof jacket. Although he was, the impact of the bullet broke his bones. He couldn't stand up. I need to pretend I'm dead.
Nicah shouted, "JASPER!!!"

Now two of them were down. Jasper and Joshua. Carlos knew what to do to help them. But he had to make use of the situation facing him. He grabbed a stick on the ground and threw it at the old man's feet. The old man screamed as the pointed part hit his Achille's heel. He knelt on the floor in pain. Nicah ran to him and kicked him hard on the solar plexus.
"Arrgh!" The old man scremaed as he bent over in pain.
Yanna ran and stepped on the old man's back.
"Ooooowwww!" He said.
Finally, Jem went to him and did the most natural thing.
"We win! You lose! Bluuuh!" With her tounge faced at him.
The three then tied him up on the side of the wall while Carlos did something to him that made him unconscious.

The man's gun landed at Joshua's feet. Joshua kicked it out of sight. Then he lay down in pain of his head and body. Jasper was lying at the opposite, with cracked bones and blood on his chest.

Carlos took two pills from his pocket. "Jasper, here are 2 pills I made. One is Apoptoxin and the other is Poptoposin. Both could regenerate body damage."
Nicah went to Carlos, "What's the difference?"
"I only have two. Luckily only 2 got hurt today."
"So what's the difference?"
"Poptoposin takes 2 weeks to heal and it is extremely painful. This makes the cells in the body release a chemical called Poptopose. A cell regeneration chemical. Normally, bones would grow back for many months. This reduces it to a few."
Jem and Yanna went to Carlos. They asked, "What then is Apoptoxin?"
"Ahhh. Apoptoxin. It makes cells release a chemical called Apoptose. It is also cell regeneration on two different scales. The first stage takes a few minutes. Apoptose is a dangerous chemical used to destroy cells. It reduces them by 50%. So if your body contained 50000000 cells, it's effects will give you 25000000 cells. I've never tested it myself but the first stage should work perfectly. I tried it on my pet monkey Charles. Charles was reduced to the size of a baby. Apoptose removes the damaged cells and leaves only healthy cells."
Yanna replied. "It sounds so familiar."
"I'm betting you watch Detective Conan. I got the idea from there. Apoptoxin... It also activates another hormone which speeds up cell regeneration. It's different from Poptopose so I called it Hormone X."

Jasper was listening and made his choice. "*cough* I choose Poptopose. I don't wanna reduce my size. I'd rather go the hard way."
Carlos replied. "Which means, Joshua should take Apoptoxin."
Nicah said. "Cool! A real Detective Conan!"
Jem said, "Nah! Joshua's dumb."

Jasper drank the Poptopose. His heart or more precisely, the bones surrounding it were paining." Ahh. He could stand, but the pain still hurt.
Joshua lay down unconscious. But he could still feel. He couldn't see, nor hear but he could feel. He felt a small capsule placed on his mouth and water. He felt his body burning. What is this??? And he felt no more. For he swept to unconsciousness.

Yanna and Jem were carrying the small Joshua, who had shrunk. Carlos and Nicah helped Jasper walk. they all made it to the exit. Yanna looked back at the man. She saw him carrying a remote like thing. He clicked it. Typical. Self-destruction bomb.
"SELF-DSTRUCTION BOMB! RUN!," she shouted.
